Sunday, December 22 through Tuesday, December 24
In this week of advent, as we light a candle for Love and for Angels, we turn toward the scenes and characters of these familiar stories. In the last few days leading up to Christmas, we find ourselves visited by angels and witnessing a meaningful family visit. As with anytime we are “flies on the wall” to these stories, we are invited into them, to fully experience the sights, sounds, and smells, to imagine the context and settings, and even to feel ourselves participants in them alongside these people of faith who lived long ago. Come along and spend some time in these familiar spaces. Perhaps we can notice them a little differently this year: An angel visits Joseph, Mary visits Elizabeth, and Mary’s song.
** There’s an extra (accidental) devotional for the 23rd that is the angel’s visit to Mary.
